Any combination of these elements make for a very special and memorable experience. Based in Shannon, Ireland, JD Golf Tours is family owned and managed. Founded by Jeremiah Donworth in 1990 the company takes great pride in presenting superior Golf Holidays to Ireland and Scotland. The success of the company is based on the professional, open and friendly service given to each tour.

Whether designing a customised Golfing Itinerary for individuals, groups or corporate incentive trips, the focus is to guarantee a Golf Holiday that exceeds your expectations.

Profiles

Abina Donworth (Chair)
Abina is an accomplished golfer, current member of Lahinch and Shannon Golf Club, and equally well known in golfing circles. She served for many years on the Junior Munster Executive of the Irish Ladies Golfing Union and was a Munster Selector for 10 years, in 1992 she became a National Selector a position she held for 5 years. She is a Past Captain and Past President of Shannon Golf Club.

Kyra Shaw (Chief Executive)
Kyra Shaw is president and Chief Executive Officer of J.D Golf Tours, a position she has held since 1998. Kyra joined J.D Golf Tours in 1995 and has played Representative Golf for Munster Province and was an International panelist for 2 years at junior level.

A member of Shannon, Lahinch and Doonbeg Golf Clubs and enjoys a round of golf with her husband Brian Shaw (Head Professional of Doonbeg Golf Club).

Riceal Kelly (Chief Operations Officer)
Riceal Kelly joined JD Golf Tours in 1998. Her energy and enthusiasm for the golf holiday is obvious the quality of service supplied to all customers. As Operations Manager this energy combined with extensive knowledge of the golf holiday product ensures top class Golf breaks, holidays and incentive trips are enjoyed by everyone who choose JD golf tours.

Riceal has a degree in European Studies from University of Limerick and An MSC from University of Wales.

Jeremiah Donworth (R.I.P)
Jerry established JD Golf Ltd in association with his wife Abina in 1990. Jeremiah was a keen Golfer and a Member of both Lahinch and Shannon Golf Clubs, and uniquely was elected Captain of Shannon Golf Club on two occasions. Jeremiah was a prime mover in the establishment and promotion of the shannon Pro-Am, for many years the most prestigious event of its kind in Ireland.

Jeremiah was also largely instrumental in securing Shannon as the venue for the European Junior Ladies Team Championships in 1990. An allround Sportsman Jeremiah was incoming President of the famous Garryowen Rugby Football Club. In 1996 he founded the IGTOA, (Ireland Golf Tour Operators Association) and chaired the Association for its first two years.
